Talked to my dad. Apparently my trip to Malacca is still after Christmas and since my dad has work until the 24th, I can do pretty much anything I want until then so if we need to take more than two days, we can go ahead. We can watch a movie or two, or even go to Sentosa if you want.  We’re set for the 20th and 21st, and if you want to go out before then we can do so. Just drop me a PM or a text.

Viktor Saint-Demain
Formerly one of Sharn’s most brilliant inquisitives, Saint-Demain’s career and reputation took a nosedive after being foiled in one of his investigations by the PCs. He has been stalking them from the shadows of Hell’s Heart for months now, piecing together a spider’s web that would destroy his foes’ reputations forever—while elevating himself to the status of savior of Sharn.

Saint-Demain has been pulling the strings at Hell’s Heart for quite a while now, biding his time while waiting for the right opportunity. As the month of Long Shadows draws nigh, the Master Inquisitive draws his web.

For the longest time, the Doctor was the sinister mastermind behind the disturbing goings-on in Hell’s Heart. Inmates were experimented upon, taken apart and stitched back together. The torture that the Doctor inflicted upon them completely obliterated whatever sanity they had left. Now, it is the Doctor’s turn to be a tool in the hands of Viktor Saint-Demain.

Beneath the Doctor’s cold and calculating veneer, Viktor saw a being of vicious cruelty and unbridled sadism. Saint-Demain was able to crack the icy surface and somehow unleash the brute beneath. This savage creature, which Saint-Demain calls “Krader,” is a far cry from the disturbing genius of the Doctor–but his rage is a force to be reckoned with.

Ulysses Maldrake

Saint-Demain’s allies are not all evil or psychotic. Ulysses Maldrake, in fact, is a loyal servant of the Brelish crown. One of the Citadel’s finest, Maldrake is a staunch ally of Saint-Demain simply because the Master Inquisitive once saved his life.

While Maldrake may not be capable of the savagery that Saint-Demain and his cat’s paws are, his connections make him just as dangerous.

Many of the inmates are psychotic and extremely dangerous. The four wicked souls above are only a few of the many madmen that the PCs will encounter. How well will our PCs fare? Will they emerge from Hell’s Heart victorious, or vanquished?

Throughout the Five Nations, there are many who whisper of the Dark Six. Rumors abound of their incarnations walking the land, avatars of fearsome gods with the power to sweep aside armies and bring whole cities crashing to the earth. Among the murmuring tongues there are those who say that these are not rumors, but truth – those who say that these avatars lent their powers to the different nations during the Last War, those who say that these gods incarnate laid waste to wave upon wave of soldiers on countless battlefields, those who say that these personifications of the Dark Six roam Eberron still.

These are the people who tell stories of these fearsome individuals, spreading the word far across the continent.

The Devourer, they say, controller of the savage forces of nature, has taken the form of a halfling commanding the dinosaurs of the Talenta plains. Wielding the power of dragons, armed with the might of a god, the storytellers never fail to recount the great deeds attributed to her name.

The Fury, embodiment of passion driven to madness, is said to live through a dwarf whose eyes burn with the light of a silver flame. Many are those who speak with awe as they tell of his valor at the head of armies blazing with divine wrath.

The Keeper, the god of death and decay, is rumored to inhabit the body of a mercenary with a soul bound to the moon. There are those who do not doubt that they hear the voice of the Keeper, when they hear the rustling of leaves and a faint howl in the distance, on a clear and moonlit night.

The Mockery, deity of treachery over honor, is believed to have taken the likeness of a crafty warforged rogue. There are some who say that he led the constructs’ rebellions against their makers, and even more who wonder at the sudden nobility of the traitor-god’s goals.

The Shadow, god of dark magic and the corruption of nature, is rumored to have been incarnated as a psion, defying the very laws of the natural world with power drawn from the mind and soul of the dreamtouched. This avatar is said to have been the force behind the arcane might drawn upon by the nation of Cyre, in the days before the start of the Mourning.

And of the Traveler, god of cunning and deception, there is not much known. Some say he has also taken the form of one of the dreamtouched, combining steel and spell behind dark and shadow. Yet there are more who maintain that there is no incarnation for the Traveler, no mortal body for the elusive god. Some persist and say that one exists, somewhere on Eberron – but these few voices are stifled by those who demand for stories to support the claim, and receive no answer.

Upon hearing these tales, many wonder at the deeds presumably done by these incarnations. Why the sudden benevolence, from those shunned by the Sovereign Host themselves? Why Khorvaire, when there are other lands where their boots might tread?

And most of all, why now – when the many tales spun by believers at countless firesides could be all too true?
